From Dublin

You can take the M7 to Limerick, and from there follow directions from South (Limerick, below); or M4/M6 to Galway, and from there follow directions from North (Galway, below). Both take about same 3 h to our house. While the Galway route is more scenic (coastal Burren), the Limerick route is a bit more practical with its wider roads.

From South (Kerry, Limerick, Shannon airport, Ennis)

1. Take the M18 north to Ennis

2. From Ennis follow signs for N85 to Ennistymon.  

3. In Ennistymon town center, continue straight on N67 to Lisdoonvarna.  

4. After Kilshanney, stay on N67, and continue to follow signs for Lisdoonvarna and the Wild Honey Inn.  

5. Just after Wild Honey Inn on your right, take the right hand turn onto Rooska (road).

From north (Galway, Kinvara, Ballyvaughan)

1. Take N67 south, to LIsdoonvarna

2. Go through Lisdoonvarna village

3. At town square, take right to stay on N67, towards Ennistymon/Lahinch

4. Go past Roadside Tavern and Burren Smokehouse on left

5. Just before Wild Honey Inn on your left, take the left hand turn onto Rooska (road).

From Cliffs of Moher

1. Get off at Burke's Garage stop (LIsdoonvarna square)

2. Head down hill going past Roadside Tavern to your left

3. Take left just before Wild Honey Inn, onto Rooska (road).

4. Follow step 7 below.

If taking Eireann Bus 350

1. Take R478 road out of Cliffs car park to the right

2. Follow signs for Lisdoonvarna

3. At cross at N67, take left towards Lisdoonvarna

4. Follow signs for Lisdoonvarna and the Wild Honey Inn.  

5. Just after Wild Honey Inn on your right, take the right hand turn onto Rooska (road).
